Prismhr Hire seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support our Internal Medicine team in delivering patient-centered care. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure an efficient, accurate patient experience.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, completed a Medical Assistant program, and familiarity with electronic health records. Prior outpatient/internal medicine exposure is preferred, with strong communication and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant may be preferred or required depending on location.
  • Previous experience in internal medicine or outpatient setting is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures.
  • Record vital signs, medical history, and other clinical details accurately.
  • Assist providers with routine examinations and in-office procedures.
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure supplies are stocked and clean.
  • Support patient intake, documentation, and chart preparation.
  • Coordinate referrals, lab work, and follow-up communication.
  • Perform basic administrative duties such as scheduling and phone support.
  • Maintain privacy, safety, and infection-control standards.
  • Communicate courteously with patients and clinical team members.
  • Assist with additional clinical and administrative tasks as assigned.

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support our Internal Medicine team in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. In this role, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to help ensure an efficient and positive experience for every patient. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and committed to maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality in a fast-paced medical environment.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and prepare them for examinations, procedures, and follow-up visits.
  • Record patient information, vital signs, medical history, and other relevant clinical details accurately.
  • Assist providers with routine examinations and in-office procedures as directed.
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure supplies and equipment are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
  • Support patient intake, documentation, and chart preparation in accordance with established workflows.
  • Coordinate referrals, lab work, diagnostic testing, and follow-up communication as needed.
  • Perform basic administrative duties such as scheduling, phone support, and message routing.
  • Maintain compliance with privacy, safety, and infection‑control standards.
  • Provide courteous and effective communication to patients, families, and clinical team members.
  • Assist with additional clinical and administrative tasks as assigned.
