Job summary

USA Clinics Group in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to balance patient needs and maintain efficient office workflow while supporting physicians in procedures before, during and after care. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma, 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience, proficiency with vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, and is fluent in Spanish and English.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience as Medical Assistant or similar role is required.
• Experience with vitals, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection is required.
• CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification is preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish & English is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, histories, and other clinical information in EMR/EHR.
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, and specimen collection.
• Document patient interactions accurately in EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing high patient volume in a fast-paced clinic.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms (Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, etc.).
• Support patient care within healthcare settings including physician offices and clinics.
• Leverage bilingual skills to support patient interactions when applicable.

Position Summary:

As a Medical Assistant, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient work flow of the office as well as provide support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures – before during and after. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Tuesday & Friday 8-5pm
• Locations: Sarasota, FL clinic
• Compensation: $21-$25/hr
• Paid training (will take place in Miami for 2 weeks; all expenses paid by USA Clinics)

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.

• High School Diploma or equivalent,required.
• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experienceas a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician),required.
• Experience performing clinical duties such asvital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection,required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or currentCMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment,required.
• Fluency in Spanish & English required
