Athenix Bellevue, a patient-centered plastic surgery center in Bellevue, WA, seeks a Medical Assistant to support providers and the care team by managing patient intake and records, preparing patients for exams, and maintaining accurate EHR/EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of outpatient clinical procedures and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Accurately manage and update patient information in the EMR/EHR system; ensure privacy and confidentiality.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist providers during exams.
• Explain procedures and provide clear pre-procedure and follow-up instructions to patients.
• Handle inbound/outbound phone calls—schedule appointments, triage basic inquiries, and relay messages.
• Collect basic vitals and perform routine clinical tasks per clinic protocols.
• Assist with office workflow, supply restocking, and coordination between clinical and administrative teams.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and documentation standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• CMA (AAMA) or RMA certification.
• Prior experience in outpatient clinics or ambulatory care.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and medical billing basics.
• Customer-service or patient-communication training.
• Bilingual skills a plus.
• Accurate information organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced clinical environment.
