Job summary

On Demand is seeking a Medical Assistant for our office in Austintown, Ohio. The position supports clinical operations in a medium-to-fast-paced outpatient setting and assists providers while ensuring a smooth patient experience.

Ideal candidates have EMR familiarity and/or phlebotomy skills, with a preference for experience in behavioral health or MAT. A high school diploma is required; certification is welcome but not mandatory. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k), and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred, but not required.
• Successful completion of background check and pre-employment drug screen.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health or MAT preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake, triage, and vital signs; update medications and medical history.
• Provide clinical support including venipuncture, injections, vaccines, EKGs, wound care, and urinalysis (observed collections).
• Assist with MAT workflows and patient support.
• Document accurately in EMR and maintain compliance.
• Coordinate patient flow, scheduling, referrals, and front/back office tasks.
• Communicate with patients, families, and care team to support patient-centered care.
• Follow infection control and safety protocol.
