Cook Children’s in Arlington Primary Care seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient care under supervision of a physician or advanced practice provider. You will assist with preparation and delivery of care in a primary care setting, following established clinical policies and procedures.

Requirements include a high school diploma, eligibility for MA certification or completion of an accredited MA program, CPR certification, and national certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The Medical Assistant works under the clinical supervision of the Physician/APP in a primary care setting.
  • Assists in the preparation and delivery of patient care as directed by providers and licensed clinical staff.
  • Performs clinical duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Summary

The Medical Assistant role functions under the clinical supervision of the Physician/Advanced Practice Provider in a primary care practice. This individual assists in the preparation and delivery of patient care as directed by the provider(s) and other licensed clinical personnel. Clinical duties are skillfully and consistently performed per established clinical policy and procedure.

Education & Experience

High school diploma required. Required: Either a graduate of an accredited MA school OR a current MA certification. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification National certification preferred. Current CPR certification required.
