Job summary

Providence is hiring a Medical Assistant Apprentice to enter the WA DOL registered Apprentice program with WACMHC, supervised by a certified MA preceptor. The role focuses on direct patient care within the Apprentice guidelines and the MA-C scope of practice.

Apprentices will complete 2,000 hours of clinical work, 364 hours of coursework and 3 labs, with the goal of advancing to MA-C after successful completion and certification.

Qualifications

• BLS certification through American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• Qualify for MA Apprenticeship per WACMHC and Swedish Medical Group criteria.
• Complete 2,000 hours of clinical practice, 364 hours coursework, 3 labs during apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of MA-C preceptor.
• Assist with routine clinical tasks in line with Apprentice program guidelines.
