Job summary

Children's Hospital Colorado seeks a Medical Assistant Apprentice to support clinicians and staff across departments. This one-year, on-site apprenticeship blends hands-on clinical duties with formal MA certification training, preparing you for Certified Medical Assistant roles.

You will start at 24 weekly clinical hours, increasing to ~32 hours. Benefits eligible with wage progression and mentorship as you complete training phases.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Medical Assistant Certification Program.
• Preference for Front Range Community College current or future enrolled students.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient intake and vital signs including documenting medical history.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist with procedures; maintain clean, stocked exam rooms.
• Enter patient data into EHR systems and maintain confidentiality.
• Collect and label specimens for lab testing according to proper protocols.
