Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsibilities

1. Document new and return visits accurately.
2. Ensure timely medical record management.
3. Assist with scheduling, insurance verification, and record retrieval.
4. Advocate for patient health, safety, and rights.
5. Cross-train in clerical operations and support front/back-office staff.
6. Maintain supplies and clean patient areas.
7. Participate in quality improvement activities.
8. Gather and process medical records, referrals, billing, and treatments.
9. Handle calls and messages professionally.
10. Contribute to patient satisfaction and experience.
11. Schedule and confirm appointments, adhering to policies.

Qualifications

This role is competency-based and requires supervision by a clinical preceptor. Progress is evaluated across phases involving patient rooming, specimen collection, and testing skills. Candidates must demonstrate acceptable competency at each phase.
