Program Details

The 6-month Medical Assistant (MA) Apprenticeship Program begins on August 18th. It prepares participants for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant test (CCMA) through the National Healthcareer Association. The program combines online coursework with on-site labs at local Community Colleges. Apprentices will be hired as Uncertified Medical Assistants, with wages paid during training, and transition into certified roles upon passing the exam.

Responsibilities and Schedule
  • Work 12-32 hours weekly in MAI roles, 2-4 days Monday-Friday, including 1 day of schooling, totaling roughly 10 hours weekly.
  • Locations include Primary and Specialty Care units reporting to St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Littleton, or Belmar (specific sites discussed during interviews).
Educational Partners

Arapahoe Community College (Littleton Campus) or Front Range Community College (Westminster Campus).

Qualifications
  • Customer service and leadership experience from high school or employment.
  • Basic office and computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word and email.
  • Attention to detail, HS Diploma/GED required.
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association within 90 days of employment.
  • Ability to enroll in approved local colleges.
