Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Medical Assistant certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required by 3/1/2025.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and team communication skills.
• Ability to operate medical equipment safely and correctly.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and document findings in medical records.
• Measure vital signs and interview patients for medical history.
• Assist physicians and advance practice providers during exams or procedures.
• Administer medications and immunizations as authorized.
• Maintain exam room supplies and sterilize instruments as needed.
• Provide clerical support: forms, phones, lab/x-ray reports, referrals.
• Process messages between patients, offices, and pharmacies.
• Perform EKGs and CLIA-waived tests as directed.
• Collect and process blood and other specimens for testing.
• Participate in process improvements to enhance patient care.
