Medical Assistants perform administrative and clinical duties under the direct supervision of a medical provider—physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner—in the medical office setting. They work closely with physicians, assist with patient care, and act as a liaison between patients, physicians, and staff, promoting communication about care plans and attending to patients of all ages according to the practice's specialty.
