Meridian Health Services is seeking a Medical Assistant to support pediatric patients at our Urgent Care clinic in Muncie. The role involves guiding patients through visits, taking vitals, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with exams and minor procedures.

You will perform phone triage, manage labs and records, and ensure infection-control protocols are followed. OSHA/CLIA standards compliance and patient confidentiality are essential.

Competenze

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• High school diploma or equivalency required; Associates degree preferred.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred (CMA, NCMA, CCMA, or RMA).
• 6–12 months of clinical experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Guide patients through their visit and prepare them for provider assessments.
• Take vitals, prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain supplies.
• Support providers with exams, minor procedures, and patient documentation.
• Perform phone triage, manage labs and records, and follow infection-control protocols.
• Conduct screenings (PHQ-9, Edinburgh, GAD-7) and assist with telehealth.
• Prepare medications, maintain certifications, and protect patient confidentiality.
