Job summary

We are looking for a dynamic, passionate Medical Assistant who will be integral in providing professional medical care as a Medical Assistant to behavioral healthcare patients at our Winchester behavioral health office. Medical Assistant Key Responsibilities:

• Taking vitals and weight
• Giving injections
• Assist providers
• Pass medications
• greeting clients
• filling out insurance paperwork and prior approvals,
• helping the provider to complete arrangements for referrals, admissions and laboratory referrals.
• Screen provider phone calls and assist with problem calls
• Give TB tests for employees
• Dispose of contaminated supplies
• Fax and phoning in of patient medications to pharmacies
• Maintain confidentiality and use good judgment within the limits of the CMA guidelines and follow department policies and procedures
