Job summary

Meridian Health Services in Kokomo, IN is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our integrated care team. You will administer vitals, injections, medication passes, and assist providers in delivering whole-person healthcare to our behavioral health patients.

Ideal candidates hold a Medical Assisting Diploma with CMA certification; new grads are welcome. The role includes insurance paperwork support, referrals coordination, and TB testing for staff.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Medical Assisting required, new grads welcome.
• Certified Medical Assistant credential preferred (6 months to 1 year clinical experience acceptable).

Medical Assistant Key Responsibilities:

• helping the provider to complete arrangements for referrals, admissions and laboratory referrals.


• Screen provider phone calls and assist with problem calls


• Give TB tests for employees


• Dispose of contaminated supplies


• Fax and phoning in of patient medications to pharmacies


• Maintain confidentiality and use good judgment within the limits of the CMA guidelines and follow department policies and procedures

We Value Your Medical Assistant Experience and Education:

• Medical Assisting Diploma required--but we welcome new grads!


• Certified Medical Assistant with six months to 1 year experience in a clinical setting preferred.
