Job summary

Meridian Health Services in Marion, IN is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support patients of all ages in our Primary Care office. You will guide patients through visits, take vitals, prepare exam rooms and assist with exams and telehealth.

Ideal candidates will have an accredited Medical Assistant program, a high school diploma or GED, CMA/NCMA/CCMA/RMA certification preferred, and 6–12 months of clinical experience. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree preferred.
• Certification as CMA/NCMA/CCMA or RMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through their visit and prepare them for provider assessments.
• Take vitals, prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments and maintain supplies.
• Support providers with exams, minor procedures and patient documentation.
• Perform phone triage, manage labs and records and follow infection control protocols.
• Conduct screenings PHQ 9, Edinburgh GAD 7 and assist with telehealth.
• Prepare medications, maintain certifications and protect patient confidentiality.
• Complete daily/weekly tasks, attend meetings and uphold OSHA/CLIA standards.
