Lexington Clinic in Lexington, KY is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Orthopedic & Neuroscience Center team to support patient care and clinical operations. The role involves a range of duties that assist the section Manager and ensure smooth clinic functioning.

Qualified candidates will have formal Medical Assistant training and CPR certification, knowledge of medical terminology, and broad experience in primary care, with strong patient interaction and teamwork.

SUMMARY:

The Medical Assistant functions as a member of the patient care team, contributing to the health management of the patients; performs a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for Clinic patients, many in assistance to section Manager; maintains primary responsibility for all technical procedures and the operation and care of the nursing unit.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Formal training which will probably be indicated by a high school diploma or equivalent; experience working with the public; graduation from an approved medical assistant program preferred; current CPR certification required, knowledge of medical terminology; broad medical experience with emphasis in primary care.
PHYSICAL GUIDELINES:

Physical guidelines include the ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day; lift, move and transport patients, equipment and supplies; motor coordination and manual dexterity; articulate speech; ability to read and understand orders; visual acuity.
