Lexington Clinic in Lexington, KY is seeking a Medical Assistant (4481) for the Interventional Pain Management/Orthopedic & Neuroscience Center. This full-time, hourly position supports the patient care team and handles a broad range of clinical tasks to aid physicians and nurses.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and training from an approved Medical Assistant program; experience with the public and knowledge of medical terminology are preferred.

Medical Assistant (4481) INTERVENTIONAL PAIN MANAGEMENT

FT Hourly 30 to 40 hrs Orthopedic & Neuroscience Center, Lexington, KY, US

SUMMARY

The Medical Assistant functions as a member of the patient care team, contributing to the health management of the patients; performs a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for Clinic patients, many in assistance to section Manager; maintains primary responsibility for all technical procedures and the operation and care of the nursing unit.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Formal training which will probably be indicated by a high school diploma or equivalent


• experience working with the public


• graduation from an approved medical assistant program preferred


• current CPR certification required, knowledge of medical terminology


• broad medical experience with emphasis in primary care

PHYSICAL GUIDELINES

• ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day


• lift, move and transport patients, equipment and supplies


• motor coordination and manual dexterity


• articulate speech


• ability to read and understand orders


• visual acuity
