Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and patients in a busy clinical setting. You will interview patients, take vital signs, update medications and allergies, and prepare rooms for examinations, assisting with procedures.

The role requires basic medical office skills, EMR use (Cerner/GroupWise), and a commitment to patient care. The schedule is 35 hours weekly with Monday off; Thursday half-day 7:30am–12:30pm; Tue/Wed/Fri 8:00am–5:30pm.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred; healthcare experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Follows guidelines for answering the phone and triaging patient health concerns.
• Interviews patients and measures vital signs; updates medications and allergies; records in the EMR.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examinations; assists with procedures and instruments.
• Greets patients and escorts them to exam rooms; schedules appointments as needed.
• Uses Cerner/GroupWise per established documentation protocols.
