Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking medical assistants, licensed nursing assistants, and EMTs with at least 1 year of healthcare experience to join the Internal Medicine team in Concord, NH. The role features no weekends and no night shifts, with Monday through Friday hours.

Under supervision of practice leadership and providers, you will support patient exams and treatments, manage vital signs, and document in the EMR. Training in Cerner and GroupWise workflows is included.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred but will accept applicants with healthcare experience (EMT, LNA, etc).
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification or Red Cross CPR/AED for Professionals is required.
• 1 year of healthcare experience preferred; no experience accepted for Medical Assistant candidates.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls per practice guidelines, identify health problems, and direct callers appropriately.
• Interview patients and measure vital signs.
• Update patient medications and allergy lists in the EMR.
• Record information in the EMR and maintain accurate documentation.
• Prepare treatment rooms, stock supplies, and assist with examinations and procedures.
• Assist providers by preparing patients for exams and procedures and perform related clinical tasks.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage referrals as directed.
