McLaren Health Care in Sterling Heights, MI, is seeking a Medical Assistant to deliver patient care under supervision, perform routine procedures and assist with clinical operations. Salary is complemented by a $2,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, six months of MA or Patient Care Tech experience, and completion of a MA-related program. EMR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months experience as a Medical Assistant or Patient Care Tech.
• Completion of one of the following programs: medical assistant, emergency medical technician, nurse assistant, licensed practical nurse, armed services medic, or patient care technician.
• For Rural Health Designation clinics, BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Float positions may require travel between clinics.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient care under supervision, including vital signs, injections, venipuncture and related procedures.
• Prepare examining rooms, stock supplies and organize forms for visits.
• Document interventions, medications, vital signs and chart updates in the EMR.
• Assist with gynecological exams, physicals and routine office procedures.
