Job summary

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility in Chelmsford, MA (01824). This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance) and a great way to start with a top-tier healthcare organization.

Room patients, prep exam rooms, perform EKGs, and assist with diagnostic testing. You will also conduct POC testing, schedule follow-ups, and maintain EMR records, ensuring accuracy and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of preferred experience.
• Medical Assistant Certification from any National Board.
• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare examination rooms for provider visits.
• Review and scrub daily schedules to ensure patient flow.

• Conduct Point-of-Care testing and document results.
• Schedule patient appointments, referrals and follow-ups.

• Maintain accurate patient records in EMR during visits.

Specific Duties

• Roomed patients and prepared examination rooms for provider visits.
• Reviewed and scrubbed daily schedules to ensure accurate patient flow and appointment readiness.
• Performed EKGs and assisted with diagnostic testing as ordered by providers.
• Conducted Point-of-Care (POC) testing, including specimen collection and documentation of results.
• Scheduled patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up visits.
• Performed patient outreach to confirm appointments, communicate test results, and provide care instructions.
• Maintained accurate patient records and updated electronic medical records (EMR) during visits.
• Assisted providers with clinical procedures while ensuring patient comfort and quality care.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of preferred experience
• Previous Family Medicine or Primary Care experience.
• Medical Assistant Certification from any National Board
• High school graduate or GED equivalent
• Current BLS certification (through an approved American Heart Association Training Centre

Additional Information
