Job summary

Humana Inc. through Conviva Senior Primary Care in Yulee, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant who will be the first contact for patient care, handling medical and administrative tasks onsite.

The role includes documenting symptoms in EMR, taking vital signs, injections, diagnostic tests, blood collection, and maintaining exam rooms. Regular hours are Mon–Fri 8:00–5:00 with TB screening requirements.

Qualifications

• Over 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant.
• Phlebotomy experience and vaccination administration experience.
• CPR certification and TB screening program compliance.

The Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative tasks in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. You will perform computations, and other tasks, and report to the Center Administrator.

Job Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant performs clinical tasks such as:

• Document patient symptoms in EMR

• Take and record vital signs

• Administer injections

• Perform diagnostic tests

• Collect specimens and draw blood

• Sterilize equipment

• Maintain examination rooms

Required

• Over 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant

• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider

• Phlebotomy experience

• Medication/vaccine administration experience

• CPR Certified

• This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB

Preferred

• Bilingual in English and Spanish

• Certified or Registered – (Arizona, Indiana, and South Carolina candidates require Medical Assistant Certification or Registration)

• Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.

Work Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 to 5:00

Location: Onsite in Yulee, FL/Conviva Yulee

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$43,000 - $56,200 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
