Job summary

Wilson Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team and deliver compassionate patient care. You will support clinicians, perform routine procedures, and help maintain a safe, organized clinical area.

Under supervision, you will assist with patient assessments and treatments, perform basic diagnostic procedures, collect specimens, document care, and handle administrative tasks such as scheduling and registration.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support certification required within 60 days of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of medical assisting program.
• Licensed as CCMA, CMA or RMA.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient assessments and treatments under supervision.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection; document care.
• Maintain equipment and supplies and manage examination areas.
• Handle administrative duties including filing, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.

How You'll Contribute

• Under the supervision of physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
