Job summary

A busy dermatology practice is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant with EMR experience. The ideal candidate should be a friendly and motivated team player, able to learn quickly. Responsibilities include rooming patients, documenting medical histories, assisting during procedures, and managing patient communications. Candidates taking a gap year for PA School are welcome. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with opportunities to assist a Mohs surgeon.

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) of Medical Assistant experience required.
• EMR experience is mandatory.
• Dermatology experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, triage, document medical history in EMR.
• Scribe and assist provider during exams and procedures.
• Manage patient communications and scheduling.

Job Description

• Room Patients, triage, obtain/document medicalhistoryand chief complaint in EMR
• Document Allergies and Medications and Obtain Informed consent from patients
• Scribe andassistprovider during exams and procedures
• Assistskin cancer surgeries, medicalproceduresand cosmetic procedures
• Prescription management
• Patient call backs with pathology results/Schedule excisions
• Prior Authorizations and Biologics
• Clean and restock exam rooms/assist with inventory
• Assistwith any administrative duties such as answering the phone, patientquestionsand scheduling

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) of Medical Assistant experience (Required)
• EMR experience (Required)
• Dermatology experience (Preferred)
