Job summary

Bayview Physicians Group in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking Medical Assistants to join a fast-growing outpatient multi-specialty practice. You will create a welcoming experience for patients, support providers, and help keep EMR records up to date.

The role emphasizes teamwork, empathy, and reliability, with preferred completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and active MA licensure. Full-time benefits are included and compensation is competitive.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Active and appropriate Medical Assistant or nursing certification/licensure required.
• Knowledge of basic clinical procedures and nursing practices.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, positive experience for every patient and family member.
• Support providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Room patients, take and document vital signs, and update charts in the EMR.
• Administer medications and injections per provider orders, following all documentation and safety protocols.
• Keep patient records up to date, including medications, allergies, and medical history.
• Answer phone calls, respond to patient needs, and route messages appropriately.
• Help keep clinic operations running smoothly in a fast-paced setting.
