Job summary

Bayview Physicians Group in Chesapeake, VA is seeking energetic Medical Assistants to support providers and deliver compassionate patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

You will handle clinical and administrative tasks, take vital signs, document in EMR, and assist with medications under provider orders. A high school diploma and a certified MA or nursing license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Active Medical Assistant or nursing certification/licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, positive experience for every patient and family member.
• Support providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Room patients, take and document vital signs, and update charts in the EMR.
• Administer medications and injections per provider orders, following all documentation and safety protocols.
• Keep patient records up to date, including medications, allergies, and medical history.
• Answer phone calls, respond to patient needs, and route messages appropriately.
• Help keep clinic operations running smoothly in a fast-paced setting.

What We’re Looking For
