Wellcare Pediatrics in Whitestone, NY is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide compassionate patient care and smooth administrative support in a fast-paced pediatric practice.

You will greet patients, take vitals, assist with visits, and perform basic clinical duties while handling scheduling, registrations, and communications. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of Medical Assistant and/or Medical Receptionist experience preferred.
• Experience with AthenaOne and/or Phreesia strongly preferred.
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments.
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.
• Pediatric or multi-site medical office experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits and support providers during appointments as needed.
• Perform basic clinical duties including specimen collection and point‑of‑care testing as applicable.

• Verify insurance, collect copays, and maintain accurate patient information.
• Support referrals, forms, scanning, and general administrative tasks.

What You’ll Do

The Physical Side of the Job:

• You’ll be on your feet a lot, moving around and occasionally lifting infants or toddlers.
• As with any medical role, you may be exposed to different elements like blood or chemicals.

Compensation:

$20.00 – $23.00 per hour

The compensation range listed represents Allied Physicians Group’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this position at the time of posting. The specific compensation offered will be determined based on several factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, skills, qualifications, and internal equity.
