Job summary

COPE Community Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our Tucson, AZ team. Under direct supervision, you will assist the provider with primary care duties, drive patient flow, prepare patients, and collect necessary health data, including weight, meds, and allergies.

You will also handle routine clinical support tasks such as filing and scheduling. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and an accredited Medical Assistant program completion, with at least 19

Job description

We are looking for a full time Medical Assistant to join our team! Under direct supervision, the MA will assist provider with primary care duties, patient care (i.e. exams, procedures, blood draws, injections and patient education) and maintain efficient patient flow. The MA will also assist provider by preparing patients to be seen, collecting and recording necessary data for health, weight, medication and allergies. Responsible for performing miscellaneous clinic support tasks including filing, answering phones and maintaining provider schedule.

Schedule
  • Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Written and verifiable proof of completion of an accredited Medical Assistant certification program
  • Must be at least 19 years of age

Important Notes

Preferred: Must be 21 years of age.

Must possess a valid AZ driver’s license with a “clean” or “acceptable” driving record.
