Mercy Medical Center is hiring a Medical Assistant I for the Gynecology Department to support patient care and collaborate with physicians. This role emphasizes growth/developmentally appropriate care and proficient procedure assistance in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The position requires general computer skills and the ability to work with a diverse team. CPR is preferred, and travel to satellite offices may be required.

Qualifications

• Education and Work Experience: High School Diploma or GED.
• EMT-Paramedic or MA with at least 1 year experience preferred.
• CPR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of growth/development appropriate to patient ages and applies it to care.
• Assists MD/NP/PA in procedures and operates, maintains, and calibrates equipment.

Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant I demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the ages of patients served by their department. Additionally, the MAI demonstrates competency in applying these principles when providing individualized care to specific patients. Assists the MD/NP/PA in performing procedures. Operates, maintains and calibrates all equipment.
