Associate's degree and one (1) year of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Supports with basic healthcare services to patients by helping perform examinations, review medical histories, prescribe medications, and interpret diagnostic tests to diagnose and treat injuries, illnesses, and medical conditions.
Supports the healthcare team in delivering high-quality care to students and faculty across all ASU Health Services clinic locations in the Phoenix metro area (West, Tempe, Polytechnic, and Downtown), with Tempe serving as the primary site. This position requires regular travel and flexibility to float between clinic locations based on operational needs. Provides administrative support, direct patient care assistance, and front- and back-office functions to ensure efficient clinic operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, rooming patients, managing patient flow, obtaining and documenting vital signs, performing lab draws, serving as a chaperone, and assisting providers with medical procedures. Maintains a professional, positive, and energetic demeanor while delivering accurate, compassionate service.
Knowledge of medical terminology. Skill in both verbal and written communication.
