Job summary

West Coast Wound and Skin Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our field-based wound care team. This role travels to patient homes to deliver hands-on clinical support under the supervision of our providers, primarily in the Phoenix metro area.

An ideal candidate is self-motivated, clinically competent, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a mobile setting. Minimum 1–2 years of experience and MA certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Medical Assistant certification required.
• 1–2 years of clinical or medical experience preferred.
• Experience in home health or field-based roles a plus.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently while following clinical protocols.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide delegated clinical tasks and patient care in a field-based setting.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist providers during visits.
• Scribe for physicians and document clinical findings accurately.
• Perform chart checks to monitor patient progress.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and visits.

Essential Job Functions

• Scribe for physicians and document clinical findings accurately
• Perform chart checks to monitor and evaluate patient progress
• Coordinate and assist with patient scheduling and visits
• Conduct initial assessment calls with new patients
• Order and manage medical supplies and equipment inventory
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and patient privacy standards at all times
• Communicate effectively with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Valid Medical Assistant (MA) Certification required
• 1–2 years of clinical or medical experience preferred
• Experience in home health, mobile healthcare, or field-based roles a plus
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols
• Basic computer proficiency for electronic documentation
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation required

Monday – Friday, 8am–5pm
