Job summary

Community Care Physicians is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant for The Office of Dr. Lev Barats. Hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, with no weekends. The role supports patient flow, documentation, specimen collection, and coordination of examinations and procedures.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, medical/clinical experience, and preferably Medical Assistant Certification; phlebotomy experience is a plus, and Allscripts experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous medical/clinical experience preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, families, members, physicians/providers, managers, co-workers, and external customers.
• Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.
• Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records.
• Experience with Allscripts is a plus!

The Office of Dr. Lev Barats is looking for a part-time Medical Assistant to join their team! The hours are: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. NO WEEKENDS!

Responsibilities:

• Document verbal conversations and information into the patient records in an accurate, legible and timely manner.


• Maintain timely patient flow.


• Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements.


• Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider.


• Accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.


• Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. EKG, PFT, etc.).


• Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.

Compensation: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

CCP salary ranges are designed to be competitive with room for professional and financial growth. Individual compensation is based on several factors unique to each candidate, such as work experience, qualifications, and skills. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
