Job summary

Siouxland Community Health Center in Sioux City, IA is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) for a full-time position to support the provider team in a fast-paced family practice.

Responsibilities include preparing patients and instruments, assisting with exams, phlebotomy, immunizations, scheduling, and documenting in EMR and practice management systems. Requires HS diploma, BCLS, and EMR experience; certification preferred.

Description

MA (Medical Assistant)

1 – Full-time (approximately 40 hours per week)

Successful candidate must have solid experience & advanced knowledge of:

• High School diploma or GED, certification preferred for MA.
• Multi-Physician Family Practice experience preferred.
• Electronic Medical / Health Records (EMR) experience a definite plus.
• Current BCLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.

Successful candidate must be able to perform primary functions of position:

• Assist Provider team with one-on-one patient visits and flow in a fast-paced environment.
• Prepare patient and all necessary instruments, equipment and paperwork for clinical visits.
• Assist with phlebotomy and administer immunizations.
• Perform vision and hearing exams.
• Schedule appointments.
