U.S. Dermatology Partners is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a fast-paced dermatology clinic in Silver Spring, MD.

The role blends hands-on patient care with procedural support and clinical coordination to deliver exceptional outcomes. You will assist physicians during exams and procedures, prepare patients and documentation, manage specimens, and coordinate referrals and testing while adhering to HIPAA and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during exams, sterile field setup, procedures, and surgical cases.
• Prepare/administer medications and injections per policy and may process refills under supervision.
• Prepare patients for treatment, including histories and consent documentation.
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, injections, and suture removals.
• Prepare and stock exam rooms.
• Perform specimen handling and collection.
• Accurately document care, medications, test results, and procedures.
• Coordinate appointments, referrals, and testing.
• Maintain medical equipment and supplies; respond to in-clinic emergencies per protocol.
• Uphold HIPAA, safety standards, and quality care protocols.
• Support CLIA-waived testing procedures as trained.
• Clinical duties performed under delegation of a licensed provider and practice policy.

What You Will Do

As a valued member of our clinical team, you will:

• Prepare patients for treatment, including histories and consent documentation.

• Accurately document care, medications, test results, and procedures.
• Coordinate appointments, referrals, and testing.
• Maintain medical equipment and supplies; responds to in-clinic emergencies per protocol and documents per policy
• Uphold HIPAA, safety standards, and quality care protocols
• Performs proper infection control and biohazard waste disposal; supports CLIA-waived testing procedures as trained.
