Job summary

Altais Medical Group in San Francisco is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the care delivery team and support a paperless, efficient practice. You will perform administrative and clinical tasks within patient flow, under the guidance of the Practice Operations Supervisor.

You will take vitals, room patients, assist with procedures, and help with injections, EKG, wound care and related duties while delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistant.
• 1+ yr of MA within an Outpatient setting, 3+ preferred.
• EMR experience

Responsibilities

• Take vitals and room patients.
• Assist with injections, urine analysis, EKG, wound care and ear lavage.
• Triage calls and administer treatments per provider orders.
• Schedule and confirm appointments, check in patients and collect co-pays.
• Assist with prescriptions, referrals and authorizations.
• Remind patients of overdue services and follow-up actions.

You will keep the medical practice running efficiently by performing administrative and clinical functions within patient flow aligned within established Practice Management Guidelines. As part of a cross-functional team, you will work directly with a team of Medical Assistants and Medical Receptionists reporting directly to the Practice Operations Supervisor. You will own responsibilities in a fast-paced environment working within a paperless environment.
