Job summary

Altais is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our care delivery team. You will perform administrative and clinical tasks, including rooming patients, taking vitals, injections, EKGs, and wound care, while ensuring efficient, paperless patient flow in a fast-paced setting.

You will collaborate with Medical Assistants and Medical Receptionists under the Practice Operations Supervisor, handling appointments, check-ins/outs, and coordinating prescriptions and referrals in accordance with provider

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• 1+ yr MA within an Outpatient setting, 3+ preferred.
• EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vitals, injections, urine analysis, EKG, wound care, ear lavage.
• Schedule and confirm appointments; check in patients; collect co-pays and payments.
• Assist with prescription orders, referrals and authorizations.
• Remind patients of overdue services such as missed appointments, immunizations, labs, and preventative service.

You will keep the medical practice running efficiently by performing administrative and clinical functions within patient flow aligned within established Practice Management Guidelines. As part of a cross-functional team, you will work directly with a team of Medical Assistants and Medical Receptionists reporting directly to the Practice Operations Supervisor. You will own responsibilities in a fast-paced environment working within a paperless environment.
