Job summary

Nextaff is hiring an experienced Medical Assistant to join our client's team in St. Petersburg, FL. Responsibilities include rooming patients, documenting medical histories, measuring vital signs, administering injections, preparing and maintaining treatment rooms, and entering patient data into the EMR system.

This is a full-time contract-to-hire position with a Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM schedule, offering the opportunity to earn a permanent position with our client and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• 1 year of current experience as a Medical Assistant in a primary care office with managed care experience
• Rooming patients, taking vital signs, and understanding medical office procedures and terminology
• Experience documenting in an EMR system (eClinicalWorks preferred)
• High School diploma or equivalent and background check/drug screening required

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document medical histories.
• Measure vital signs and assist in examinations.

Medical Assistant Nextaff is hiring an experienced Medical Assistant to join our client's team in St Petersburg, FL. As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for a variety of clinical and administrative tasks including assisting in examinations under the direction of a physician. Duties include rooming patients, documenting medical histories, measuring vital signs, administering injections, preparing & maintaining treatment rooms, entering patient data into the EMR system and assisting in front desk coverage. This is a full-time contract-to-hire position with a Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM schedule, which allows you the opportunity to earn a permanent position with our client.

• $20-$23 per hour, based on your experience as a Medical Assistant

What We Need From You

• You have experience documenting an EHR systems (eClinicalWorks preferred)
• High School diploma or equivalent and background check/drug screening required
