Under the direction of the Physician and Practice Manager, the Licensed Practical Nurse is the first point of care in the Physician office. This position assists the physician with patient procedures and may perform routine laboratory tests. This individual works hand-in-hand with the Physician to achieve quality outcomes for the patient.

Overview Of Responsibilities

1. Prepare exam rooms for patients, ensuring cleanliness and supplies.
2. Triages patient calls, reviews test results, and provides education.
3. Assist patients and providers with examinations and procedures.
4. Perform laboratory tests and maintain documentation.
5. Schedule tests and referrals, and record procedures.
6. Perform front office duties and uphold confidentiality and safety standards.
7. Ensure patient satisfaction and safety, and perform administrative tasks as needed.
8. Follow patient care principles and foster positive patient interactions.

Education/Experience

Required: Graduate of an approved Medical Assisting, LPN, RN program, or related certification. Candidates with on-the-job training and 2+ years in a physician’s office are considered.

Preferred: Associate's Degree, one year of medical practice experience.

Certifications

BLS required.

Schedule

39 hours/week, Monday-Thursday 8-4:30, Friday 8-3:30.
