Job summary

Millennium-Physician-Group is seeking an in-person Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in outpatient and hospital-based settings. You will conduct patient intakes, assist with exams, perform EKGs and immunizations, collect specimens, and document accurately in the EHR.

Job Description SummaryResponsible for providing high-quality, compassionate clinical andadministrative support to physicians, hospitalists, and other healthcare professionals in both outpatient andhospital-based settings. This role ensures efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and exceptionalpatient care through coordination, education, and hands-on service delivery while adhering to establishedclinical guidelines, provider supervision standards, and organizational policies.How will you make an impact & Requirements• Conducts comprehensive patient intakes, including obtaining vital signs, recording medical histories,and reviewing medication and allergy information.• Assists providers during examinations, minor procedures, wound care, and diagnostic testing whileensuring patient comfort and safety.• Performs EKGs, immunizations, and specimen collection in accordance with policy and competencystandards.• Prepares, labels, and processes laboratory samples and point-of-care tests accurately.• Maintains infection control, safety protocols, and equipment calibration across all clinical areas.• Supports providers with patient triage, care coordination, and transitions across clinical settings.• Provides patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, chronic condition management,and preventive care.• Accurately document clinical data, provider instructions, and patient updates in the electronic healthrecord (EHR).• Schedules, confirms, and tracks patient appointments, referrals, authorizations, and test results toensure timely care.• Verifies insurance coverage and assists with prior authorizations, billing, and coding processes asneeded.• Monitors inventory levels and prepares examination or procedure rooms with required supplies andequipment.• Participates in performance improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and safety drills to supportcontinuous quality improvement.• Facilitates communication among patients, providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensurecoordinated, patient-centered care.• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and all compliance standards.• Upholds compassionate, culturally competent care while maintaining sensitivity to diverse patientpopulations.Compensation Range:$18.00to$27.00The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting.
