Job summary

All4Kidz Pediatrics is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care and clinic operations in a fast-paced environment across multiple specialties. You will handle clinical tasks and administrative duties to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Responsibilities include patient intake, vitals, room prep, phlebotomy, EHR documentation, and collaboration with care teams to maintain high standards of care.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in medical office settings with knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Hands-on experience in outpatient clinics, inpatient hospital units, or surgical environments is desirable.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certs like phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting histories and vital signs.
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure supplies and equipment are ready for procedures.
  • Perform phlebotomy, administer medications, and provide basic life support in emergencies.
  • Document encounters in EHR and code diagnoses using ICD standards.
  • Support appointment scheduling, check-in/out, and patient inquiries with excellent service.
  • Assist with laboratory procedures including specimen collection, processing, and documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control and hospital policies.

Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where your skills will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. This vital role combines clinical duties with administrative support to ensure seamless patient experiences. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with healthcare providers to deliver compassionate, high-quality care across various specialties including dermatology, internal medicine, urgent care, and hospital medicine. Your expertise will help streamline clinic operations, support patient needs, and maintain accurate medical documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for procedures.
  • Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy (blood draws), medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) in emergency situations.
  • Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately by documenting patient encounters, updating medical records, and coding diagnoses using ICD coding standards.
  • Support medical office management through appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out processes, and handling patient inquiries with excellent service skills.
  • Assist with laboratory procedures including specimen collection, processing, and documentation in compliance with safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control standards and hospital policies.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in medical office settings with knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical assisting techniques.
  • Hands-on experience in outpatient clinics, inpatient hospital units, or surgical environments such as ORs is highly desirable.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications like phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management is essential for accurate documentation.
  • Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations including geriatrics and internal medicine patients.
  • Knowledge of ICD coding for diagnosis documentation and understanding of hospital medicine workflows enhances your effectiveness in this role.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environments such as urgent care clinics or medical-surgical units while maintaining attention to detail.
