Job summary

Paris Regional Medical Center in Texas is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and nurses with routine clinical and administrative duties in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform patient assessments, basic diagnostic procedures, specimen collection, and maintain supplies while ensuring a safe, compassionate patient experience. A high school diploma or MA program completion and CMA/CCMA/RMA and BLS are required.

Qualifications

  • Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must work well in stressful environments and take appropriate action.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of accredited medical assistant program or equivalent.
  • Licenses: CCMA, CMA or RMA certifications; Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.
  • Under supervision of physicians or nurses, assists with patient assessments and treatments.
  • Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection; monitors and communicates changes in patient condition; documents care given.
  • Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintains examination areas; performs administrative tasks such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

How You'll Contribute

5x8, Day shift, rotating weekends
