Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Presbyterian MA Advanced Skills Training within 12 months of hire
• BLS required (AHA, Red Cross or ASHI Healthcare Provider)
• Maintains current emergency response trainings (e.g., BLS)
• Completes all competency training within specified timeframe

Responsibilities

• Perform MA procedures after competency within MA scope of work under supervision
• Assist with procedures as determined by provider
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
• Provide basic foot care
• May perform regulatory audits as designated by Clinic Manager
• Assist with visit closure
• Collaborate with care team to meet patient needs in a timely manner
• May perform scribe duties after PMG scribe training

Summary:

The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support for the Mobile Health Unit, helping deliver high-quality, patient-centered care directly within the communities we serve. This role works alongside providers and the clinical care team to support efficient patient visits, assist with clinical procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and create a welcoming experience for patients in a mobile healthcare setting. Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing medical assistant procedures after completion of competency within organizations MA scope of work, under the supervision of a provider and PHS policy.
• Assists with procedures as determined by provider
• Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
• Basic foot care
• May perform regulatory audits as designated by the Clinic Manger
• Assists with visit closure
• Participates with care team to meet patient care and clinic needs, working cooperatively with others to accomplish required work in a timely and efficient manner
• May perform scribe duties after completing PMG scribe training

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior Healthcare experience preferred
• Successful completion of Presbyterian MA Advanced Skills Training within 12 months of hire
• BLS (AHA, Red Cross or ASHI Healthcare Provider) required
• Maintains current certifications in required emergency response trainings (i.e. BLS)
• Completes all Organizational, Department of Nursing and Department-Specific competency training/requirements within specified timeframe
