Shift Details:
- 8a-430p Mon-Fri; no weekends or holidays
Medical Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:
- Obtains and documents patient vital signs and reports abnormal findings to the RN or provider.
- Rooms patients, manages patient flow, and supports efficient clinic operations.
- Administers vaccines and IM/SubQ medications as ordered.
- Performs point-of-care testing, specimen collection, and phlebotomy.
- Assists physicians, PAs, and NPs with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Prepares exam rooms and instruments for examinations and minor procedures.
- Performs wound care, dressing changes, ear lavages, ECGs, peak flow testing, and other ordered procedures.
- Accurately documents patient care, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current license as an RN in the state of WI
- High School diploma or equivalent
- American Heart Association BLS, for Health Care Providers
- Certified Medical Assistant through American Associate of Medical Assistants (AAMA) if required by client. If CMA is required by client , verification will be completed through AAMA.
- Minimum of one (1) year related work experience within the last 3 years
- Additional certifications may be required.
- Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
- Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
