Job summary

Norman Regional is seeking a Regular Full Time Medical Assistant in Norman, OK. The role involves screening patients, gathering pertinent information, and assisting physicians during visits in alignment with patient age needs. You will maintain exam rooms and support the clinic as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
• BLS certification required; CMA or RMA preferred.
• Experience in clinical or physician-office settings preferred; hospital/ER experience considered an asset.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited program in Medical Assistant Training or equivalent experience required.

Experience

• Prefer at least one year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and/or a hospital setting that provides patient care.
• Prefer medical office, insurance, referral and prior authorization, hospital or computer experience.
• Experience in office clerical activities desirable.

(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)

Licensure/Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
• CMA or RMA preferred.

Compensation/Benefits

• $15.46-$25.24/hr depending on previous work experience.
