Job summary

Norman Regional is seeking a Regular Full Time Medical Assistant to support patient care in our clinic. You will screen patients, collect information, and assist physicians during visits in line with age-specific needs.

You will also maintain exam rooms, support the clinic staff, and handle routine clerical tasks. A high school diploma and accredited Medical Assistant training are required; BLS is mandatory during orientation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Prefer at least one year in a clinical/physician-office setting or equivalent.
• BLS certification required during orientation and maintained throughout employment.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited program in Medical Assistant Training or equivalent experience required.

Experience

• Prefer at least one year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and/or a hospital setting that provides patient care.
• Prefer medical office, insurance, referral and prior authorization, hospital or computer experience.
• Experience in office clerical activities desirable.

(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)

Licensure/Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
• CMA or RMA preferred.

Compensation/Benefits

• $15.46-$25.24/hr depending on previous work experience.
