Job summary

USA Clinics Group in Yonkers, NY is hiring a Medical Assistant to balance patient needs and maintain efficient workflow, while supporting physicians during procedures and ensuring an excellent service experience.

Responsibilities include patient check-in, vitals, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and documentation in EMR/EHR systems, using Epic, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks. Bilingual Spanish/English required with 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience as Medical Assistant or similar role.
• Clinical duties including vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection.
• Completion of Medical Assistant training program and/or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English required.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the EMR/EHR.
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, and specimen collection within scope of training.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information in EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing high volume in a fast-paced clinic environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
• Support patient care across physician offices, clinics, urgent care, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
• Leverage bilingual skills to support patient interactions when applicable.

Position Summary:

As a Medical Assistant, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient work flow of the office as well as provide support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures – before during and after. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Sunday through Friday full-time hours.
• Location: 2369 Central Park Avenue Yonkers, NY 10710
• Language Requirement: Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English required.
• Paid Training (2-4 weeks)
• Compensation: $20-$25/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.

• High School Diploma or equivalent,required.
• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experienceas a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician),required.
• Experience performing clinical duties such asvital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection,required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or currentCMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment,required.
