Job summary

CorMedical is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support an on-site primary care clinic in Monroe, LA. You will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, assisting the nurse practitioner, handling front and back office tasks, and helping patients navigate services.

The role requires a high school degree and CMA/RMA certification. Prior primary care or urgent care experience is preferred, with duties spanning patient care, scheduling, insurance verification, and smooth clinic

• 1 year of primary care office or urgent care setting preferred.
• Registered or Certified Medical Assistant required.

Responsibilities

• Assists nurse practitioner with patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks.
• Obtains medical history and vital signs
• Rotate through both front and back office
• Front office duties include scheduling, checking in/out patients, insurance verification, collection of copays, answering phones
• Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services.
• Conveys a positive image of the clinic.

SUMMARY: CorMedical is a medical management firm that develops and operates on-site primary care clinics for employers. CorMedical is changing the way employers provide comprehensive medical care for their employees making it more convenient and affordable for employees and employers alike. CorMedical is accepting applications for a full time Medical Assistant for an employer on-site primary care clinic. We provide care to employees and their spouses/dependents 18 years and older.
