Job summary

MidSouth Pain Treatment Center, a PartnerCare Affiliated Company, is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our care team. The role focuses on delivering outstanding patient service, preparing patients for visits, assisting physicians and APPs, and maintaining clean, stocked rooms.

The right candidate will be compassionate, teamwork-minded, open to feedback, and committed to our values. We prefer at least two years of experience but will train motivated newcomers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Certificate of completion of a Medical Assistants/Aides course
• Current BLS and/or CPR certification
• Two years of experience preferred but training may be provided

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, welcoming patient experience and prepare patient information for visit
• Assist physicians and Advanced Practice Providers during medical appointments
• Clean, prepare, and stock exam rooms
• Communicate with patients and providers about care as instructed
• Document visits accurately in the electronic medical record

This position rotates 12 hour shifts. They will work as part of the care team with the Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers to ensure the patient has the best possible experience. Duties include: providing a warm and welcoming patient experience while preparing the patient and their information for their visit with their provider, assisting with the medical appointment as instructed by the provider, cleaning, preparing and stocking rooms, communicating with the patients and other providers about their care as instructed by the provider and documenting accurately about the visit in the electronic medical record.The right person for this role will delight in providing a great experience to the patient, will have a curious mind that always looks for a way to improve, and be compassionate for patients experiencing chronic and/or acute pain.
