Job summary

Premier Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant and Scribe to join our team in McKinney, TX, on a full-time or part-time basis. The role supports clinicians with patient examinations, documentation, and coordination of care.

You will perform clinical tasks, document encounters in the EHR, and assist with check-in/check-out, referrals, and follow-up care. HIPAA compliance and a patient-centered approach are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a medical assisting program or equivalent experience.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems.
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Document patient histories, symptoms, and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up care as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Adhere to all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
• Perform Pulmonary Function testing and 6 minute walk test.
• Keep track of office inventory.
• Help with check in and check out when needed.
• Perform Skin allergy test.
• Inject immunotherapy SC and bill.
• Inject Biologics SC and bill.
• Phlebotomy experience is a plus.
• Radiology experience is a plus.

Job Overview:

As a Medical Assistant and Scribe, you will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare providers in delivering high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for assisting with clinical tasks, documenting patient encounters, and ensuring accurate and timely medical records.

SCHEDULE:

• One position open for part time staff
• One position open for fulltime staff
• Part time staff:
• Monday and Tuesday 8 am to 5pm
• (Part time staff must be able to work Monday and Tuesday on consistent basis to get part time position)
• Full time staff:
• Monday to Thursday 8-5
• Friday 8am to 2pm
• Part-time Monday to Friday or Monday to Thursday: 830 am to 330 PM

PAY:

Competitive varies depending on experience
