Job summary

Premier Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant and Scribe to support our providers in delivering high-quality patient care. You will assist with clinical tasks, document patient encounters, and ensure accurate medical records.

The role includes performing pulmonary function tests and 6-minute walk tests, handling check-in/out, and assisting with injections and billing. We value proactive team players in a busy practice.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a medical assisting program or equivalent experience.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.

Premier Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant and Scribe to join our team on a full-time basis.

Job Overview:

As a Medical Assistant and Scribe, you will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare providers in delivering high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for assisting with clinical tasks, documenting patient encounters, and ensuring accurate and timely medical records.

Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
• Document patient histories, symptoms, and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record system
• Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up care as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Adhere to all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
• Perform Pulmonary Function testing and 6 minute walk test
• Keep track of office inventory
• Help with check in and check out when needed
• Perform Skin allergy test
• Inject immunotherapy SC and bill
• Inject Biologics SC and bill
• Phlebotomy experience is a plus
• Radiology experience is a plus
• Proactive learner
• E clinical works (ECW) EMR experience
• Perform pulmonary function test and walk tests once trained
• Check in and check out patients
• Works on Pools D and T to help with patient needs
• Be a proactive team player
• We are not a training institution and are a very busy practice and if you are someone who needs a lot of hand holding this is not the job for you.

Requirements:

SCHEDULE:

Monday to Thursday 8 am to 5 pm.

Friday 8am to 2pm

Part-time hours from 8:30am to 3:30 pm
